The Indonesian Catholic Community of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles (IC-ADLA) is a vibrant faith community that began in the early 1980s with the formation of the Indonesian Catholic Families of America (KKIA). In 2001, KKIA officially became IC-ADLA under the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, with St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church in Monterey Park serving as its primary location.
IC-ADLA celebrates the Eucharist in Indonesian every Sunday at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen Martyr Church. The community is organized into three regional areas and two main groups: the Orang Muda Katolik (OMK) for young adults and the Persekutuan Doa Renewal for prayer fellowship.
Beyond worship, IC-ADLA fosters cultural and spiritual connections through various activities, including retreats, picnics, and ecumenical celebrations for Indonesian holidays such as Christmas and Easter. The community also participates in social outreach, such as volunteering at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to assist low-income families.
